Director of Leadership Development

Position Summary

Circle K is seeking an experienced, strategic, and dynamic Director of Leadership Development to join our team. The Director will lead the design, implementation, and management of leadership development programs that support the growth and effectiveness of our leaders at all levels. The Director of Leadership development will lead the development of impactful strategies to support a variety of leadership development programs and activities. This position will be responsible for a range of development activities for both our store operators and functional leaders.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Leadership Program Design and Delivery: Develop and implement leadership development programs that align with Circle K's business objectives and core values, ensuring that they address current and future leadership needs across all levels of the organization.Development Strategy: Lead the creation and continuous improvement of development programs, workshops, and resources that focus on key leadership competencies, including emotional intelligence, decision-making, team building, and communication.Cultural Transformation: Advocate for and support the development of a leadership culture that promotes inclusivity, engagement, accountability, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.Collaboration & Partnership: Work closely with senior leaders, HR, and other departments to understand organizational needs and ensure that leadership development initiatives are integrated across the business.Evaluation & Reporting: Regularly measure the impact and effectiveness of leadership development initiatives through feedback, assessments, and key performance metrics, and adjust as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.Thought Leadership: Stay up to date on best practices, trends, and innovations in leadership development and organizational development, ensuring Circle K remains competitive in its approach to talent management.Marketing Programs: Support marketing of development programs/tools/and all talent management programs including performance management, competencies, and valuesDevelopment at Scale: Create, plan, and deliver large scale leadership programs. Source new leadership experiences we can offer to all levels of leaders. Find innovative and cost-effective solutions to enhance development experiences

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., ICF) is a plus.Minimum of 8 years of experience in leadership development, talent management, or organizational development, with at least 5 years in a senior or strategic role.Proven track record in designing, implementing, and scaling leadership development programs in a fast-paced, multi-location retail or service-oriented environment.Strong understanding of adult learning principles, leadership competencies, and best practices for developing high-potential employees.The ability to think creatively, to look at current practices and think differently and innovatively to design best methods for development utilizing technologyDemonstrated ability to design and facilitate high quality professional development programsExperience designing curriculum aligned to competenciesExceptional coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.Experience in assessing leadership performance and aligning development strategies with business needs.Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making.Ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
