Director of Learning and Development - Hybrid - Sarnova
Overview The Director of Learning and Development will lead training design, development, and delivery for the Sarnova organization and will incorporate adult learning principles into the training/learning curriculum. Hybrid office schedule: T-TH office based, M&F work from home. Responsibilities Summary: The Director of Learning and Development will lead training design, development and delivery for the entire Sarnova organization (1500+ employees) and will incorporate adult learning principles into the training/learning curriculum. Responsible for creating and evaluating new and existing training/learning programs, possess the ability to analyze the impact of training programs to ensure the Learning and Development curriculum positively impacts the Sarnova organization. This is a player/coach role that will involve hands on course development and delivery. Organizational Impact: The Director of Learning and Development works with all levels of management to enable the Learning and Development team to positively impact Sarnova’s mission of being the best partner for those who save and improve patient lives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work with all Sarnova organizations to develop training plans for respective teams. Responsible for all aspects of Learning and Development for entire Sarnova organization. Drive a learning & development culture within Sarnova. Follow ADDIE model for training design, development, and implementation. Hands on learning course development and delivery. Develop and provide training/learning programs to all Sarnova Business Units. Manage leadership development programs. (HiPO, Leadership forum) Manage external mentoring partner. Work with sales leadership to manage sales new hire onboarding, including delivery of sales methodology training. Define, deliver, and manage company compliance training in conjunction with HR and Legal teams, for all new hires and companywide. Manage all Learning Management Systems (Percipio, LRN). Design, launch and manage eLearning programs using Storyline platform. Utilize a variety of effective training methodologies. Provide training direction for new product introductions. Manage and coach learning team for high performance. Manage, track and report training performance on training attendees. Create and deliver training participant surveys to gain feedback for program enhancements. Develop and manage training budget. Skills/Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of adult learning methodology. Seven plus years’ learning development experience. Experience delivering/facilitating training programs to various audiences of an organization (individual contributors, leaders, etc.) 3+ years as a people leader/manager. EMS (Emergency Medical Services), Medical Device or Medical Distribution experience desired but not required. Five years’ curriculum design/course development experience. Budget management experience. Sound judgment and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and develop alternative solutions. Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals. Demonstrated ability to effectively influence without authority. Able to work independently and exercise sound judgement. Knowledge and understanding of sales training preferred but not required. Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written communication skills with ability to prepare clear, concise business proposals. Sarnova is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
