Director of Life Company

$112,468-$146,209 minimum starting pay

Job Level: Director

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands.  Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.

What You Will Be Doing:  

Responsible for overseeing the operations of the Life Company’s Underwriting, Policy Service, Business Solutions, and Claim Departments. Participates in development of strategic planning, policies, processes and procedures for Departments in responsibility. Oversees, monitors and reviews implementation and coordination of corporate and department initiatives. Responsible for development, oversight and support of departmental leadership and ensuring personnel achieve high levels of efficiency while providing the best service possible to customers.

What We're Looking For:

Superior communication and organizational skills to effectively interact with and lead others to accomplish assigned tasks and meet departmental goals, initiatives, and objectivesExcellent skills in oral and written oral and written communications, project management skills and analysisFull course of study at the college level.  College degree requiredExperience in project managementAbility to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
