Job Description

Working closely with the Senior Leaders in the property, Regional Office and Marketing team to set up, establish and drive the resort's financial performance and creating results by maximizing efforts with innovative marketing and communication ideas. Developing rapports with key media and international media agencies. Be responsible to build and develop the hotels' sales and marketing leadership in the geographic assignment. Through effective management, passion and enthusiasm to successfully inspire and coach Marketing team and ensure marketing brand standards are fully respected. You would also oversee the implementation of Marketing and PR strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions as well as monitoring competitor marketing and PR activities. With the growing importance of social media, the responsibility for monitoring and implementation lies with this role.  Establishing and maintaining relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners as well as to maintain a consistent brand image throughout all sales, PR, marketing and MarCom activities. 

Key Responsibilities

Manage, develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy for the property.Manage the brand, advertising and marketing, creative and media buyingMaintain and direct all third party related agencies as per the resort's requirementsManage an effective e-Communications and social media strategy to support the overall business objectivesIdentify potential sponsorship and promotional opportunities for the property and manage the strategic business alliances and relationshipsMonitor industry trends and keep senior managers appraised of the brand perceptions and any potential issues that would have a negative impact on the businessLiaise and meet regularly with individual property General Managers and Department Heads to ensure that all specific requirements for marketing related work are managedEffectively communicates with all levels, manage reportsA strong leader, who can articulate a vision and translate it to realityBe a Brand ambassadorParticipate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, the marketing plan, business plan and financial plans.Create and implement PR plans and set budgets that help promote room, food & beverage and spaEnsure dispatch and strong influx of relevant information to the key mediaPitch stories to the Maison to English and Arabic titles and develop PR coverage reports on a monthly basisManage media inquiries and interview requestsCoordinate photo shoots, promotional videos and any type of event that has to do with the communication and / or publicity of the property.Be the guardian of the hotel's social media platformsDevelop social media campaigns to help achieve social media exposure and to drive followersDevelop and plan social media calendar; post daily feed for hotel's social media channels per the brand standard

Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent international degree in Marketing, Business or Commerce 8+ years of international marketing and communications experiencePrevious experience as Director of Marketing in a luxurious hotel/ resort brand
