UniFirst, a leader in B2B industrial rental services, is seeking a strategic and innovative Director of Marketing Operations and Communications. This role will oversee the marketing operations infrastructure and corporate communications to drive brand visibility, sales and marketing campaigns, and revenue growth. This role will lead a team of marketing professionals across omnichannel marketing, communications, events, PR & media, solution marketing and other creative assets as well as campaigns, brand management, and social media.
The ideal candidate combines operational excellence with a strong understanding of brand-building in a customer-focused, service culture environment.
Drive campaign performance analysis, establish KPIs, and provide actionable insights for optimization including overall performance for SERP, campaign ROI, brand perception, etc.Capture the voice of sales and competitor intelligence to inform strategies and identify growth opportunities.Develop and manage a comprehensive brand strategy that includes brand positioning, messaging, visual identity, and guidelines that align with all internal and external stakeholders and extends across all physical and digital platforms.Routinely coach and support the marketing team at all levels of personal and skills development, develop ongoing succession & career progression opportunities while being a passionate advocate for recruiting a diverse top talent funnel.Implement a full and quantifiable set of marketing KPIs to drive progress against key growth initiatives including lead-to-revenue, share of voice, and budget deployed that enables a dynamic set of controls and iterations to maximize the marketing impact.Develop, monitor, and manage a marketing budget, ensuring effective use of resources and marketing ROI (ROMI) backed by proactive insights and monthly reporting while dynamically adjusting budget items to respond to changing market needs.Conduct information sessions for internal stakeholders.Manage direct reports and agency/ vendor partners as well as coordinate with cross-functional teams in support of the role and deliverables.Foster a collaborative, innovative, and data-driven culture that prioritizes continuous improvement and excellence.Stay ahead of trends in B2B industrial rental services, marketing operations, and corporate communications.
Qualifications
10+ years of marketing experience with 3+ years of managing direct teams required.Proven success in designing and executing successful marketing operations and communication strategies.Demonstrated budget management expertise and ROI achievement on marketing investments. Expertise and accomplishment with SEO/ SEM including keyword optimization, web directories, and Ad platforms including Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and familiarity working with DSPs, Native Ad Platforms, programmatic display, etc.
Skills:
Proficiency and comfort with quantitative analytics using Excel, Google Data Console, Tableau, or similar tools. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights. Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across digital, events, PR & media, and social media channels. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a successful history of managing, developing, and motivating marketing and cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Pro-active ownership, accountability, and self-direction; including a history of being action-oriented, gaining buy-in for your business case-based ideas from Sr. Leadership, and managing up. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to create and execute innovative, visionary marketing campaigns toward multigenerational audiences. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling and content development. PowerPoint, Word, Adobe, Excel, and Microsoft Teams experience required.Education:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent related experience required. MBA preferred.Additional Requirements:
