Position Summary

CVS Media Exchange [CMX] is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for our suppliers, merchants, stores, GMs, brand advertisers, and agencies. Our full-funnel ad solutions leverage CVS’s in-store and online data, extensive reach, and to provide measurable results for our clientele. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service; these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, engage with CVS consumers, and convert CVS consumers to shoppers. 

As a Director of Measurement Product, you will function as product owner and help build best-in-class omni-channel measurement products and platforms that deliver digital advertising campaign measurement at scale. The director will play a lead role in building platforms that measure the effectiveness of ad-campaigns in driving customer awareness, product consideration and omni-channel conversion, ROAS, and incrementality. They will work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a client-facing product.

You will build and manage the measurement roadmap, align business and technical needs, and be the “voice of the product” with stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met. The director will drive the end-to-end product lifecycle from requirement definitions, research, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, KPIs and launch efforts to commercialize product innovation and drive increased advertiser investment. In this role, you will run product discovery to collect customer feedback and collect relevant data points to articulate business value and help prioritize future product roadmap.

The Director of Measurement Product will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles.

Additional responsibilities of the Director of Product Measurement include:

Strategic Leadership: Define product vision, strategy, and development of suite of ad measurement products.Product Leadership: Utilize your product knowledge, customer feedback, and relevant data to assess value, build business cases, and prioritize effectively. Lead product discovery and maintain a roadmap and backlog focused on high-impact work for advertisers, merchants and stakeholders.Product Roadmap: Manage product roadmaps, align business and technical needs, analyze customer and product data, turn customer insights into actionable initiatives, determine rollout strategy, and manage risks. maintain and refine the product backlog (create user stories & acceptance criteria) while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact.Team Management: Lead a team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers and business analysts to deliver the Measurement roadmap, establish data analytics best practices, manage and mentor team members, drive Cross-Functional alignment, and resolve key blockers.Collaborative Innovation: Build strong relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership. Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and other CVS partners to define data requirements, measurement methodologies, APIs and UX for reporting dashboards.Performance Excellence: Define and track key metrics to measure the success of our Measurement product, ensuring we continuously improve and innovate. Execute the product strategy and roadmap to achieve key business objectives (OKRs).Data Transformation Layer Management: Oversee the data transformation processes, ensuring efficient and accurate transformation, enrichment, and normalization of data for reporting.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, analytics, insights, and media teams to align data strategies and ensure seamless integration with ad-serving platforms.Data as a Service (DaaS): Develop strategies to offer data as a service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring flexible and scalable access to high-quality data sets.Data Foundation Development: Support design and implementation of scalable and robust data infrastructure that supports real-time & batch data processing and analytics.Data Quality and Governance: Work with Engineering to establish and enforce data quality frameworks and governance policies to ensure data integrity and reliability.Industry Expertise: Partner with Product Marketing to conduct industry and competitive analyses to deeply understand emerging trends in advertising measurement to inform product roadmap.

This is a hybrid position (3 days in the office, Tuesday - Thursday) at one of our hubs (NYC, Boston or Chicago).


Required Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on experience in Product Management (majority in advertising technology or advertising measurement strongly preferred).  Proven ability to lead and influence, with a track record of success in building and executing product strategies. Sound business judgment and ability to think strategically, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and make difficult trade-off decisions.4+ years of leadership experience in BI/data analytics/data science/insights3+ years of experience managing product managers, data scientists and engineers.5+ years’ experience in designing business intelligence solutions (dashboard development) through use of data visualization software required (Tableau preferred) to uncover trends, realize insights, explore sources, and tell stories.4+ years’ Experience in data management and working on hybrid infrastructure of Cloud and On-prem. GCP Preferred.  Strong analytical skills with a solid foundation in programming (e.g., SQL, Python), database environment (e.g., big-data platforms, SQL)


Preferred Qualifications

Industry Experience: Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, Digital Ad Tech Stack, Retail Media Advertising and the underlying technologies.Digital Media Measurement: Deep understanding of ad measurement solutions, including MMMs, MTAs, and Brand Lift (and other upper funnel measurement)Customer-first mindset: Strong interpersonal skills; as well as strong initiative and self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and manage teams within a customer-service oriented environment.Excellent Organizational skills: to handle several projects simultaneously, accommodate shifting priorities, and meet deadlines. Extreme comfort in ambiguous, fast-paced environment. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and coordinate resources.Communication Skills: Exceptional storytelling and presentation abilities, with a knack for influencing stakeholders and driving consensus.Agile development: Test and learn mentality and an agile way of working to improve your product


Education

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative /technical field (e.g., engineering, computer science, data science, mathematics) or equivalent (HS Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience) required

MBA or Masters degree in a quantitative /technical field (e.g., engineering, computer science, data science, mathematics or equivalent) preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
