Tri Pointe Connect, the mortgage affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes, is looking for an experienced individual to join our talented group in Arizona as a Director of Mortgage Finance. Position Highlights: The Director of Mortgage Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of Tri Pointe Connect, the mortgage affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes. This includes financial analysis, budgeting, profit planning, forecasting, and ensuring robust financial control systems. The role also encompasses back office operational efficiency and cost accounting. The Director will play a pivotal role in driving long-term financial growth, establishing strategies to increase profitability, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and improving operational practices to optimize efficiencies within the organization. Position Responsibilities: Contributes to strategic planning, and goal setting for Tri Pointe Connect in collaboration with the President and other leadership team members. Assists and/or facilitates the annual business planning and quarterly forecast update process ensuring a high level of transparency and accuracy. Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Works closely with President in analyzing the viability and structure of future projects and product or investor positioning. Reviews, analyzes, and presents updated financial data to management as needed. Oversee the development and management of the annual budget and long-term profit planning. Attends budget review meetings to ensure transparent and accurate budget practices are employed. Communicates with President and other leadership team members when significant movements within the market occurs. Provides analytical support to the management team to improve mortgage operations and to identify opportunities for improvement. Reviews the division financial reporting package and associated local management schedules for completeness/accuracy. Collaborate with various departments to establish business forecasts based on market trends, financial performance and operational insights. Collaborates with Division President and other leadership team members for process improvement efforts driven to standardized processes in all aspects of operations. Help with coordination of back-office operations including commissions/bonuses, accounts payable coordination, Tri Pointe Assurance and Tri Pointe Homes and third-party vendors. Develop and execute strategies to support the long-term financial growth and profitability of Tri Pointe Connect. Provide financial leadership and guidance on new business opportunities, investments and other strategic decisions. Works collaboratively with the Tri Pointe Homes’ accounting team in the preparation of division financial statements and disclosure. Guides all financial functions and other accounting/operational procedures within the Division. Ensure all financial practices within Tri Pointe Solutions (financial services to include Tri Pointe Connect, Tri Pointe Assurance and Tri Pointe Advantage) to comply with relevant regulations and accounting standards. Other duties as assigned. Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required. An MBA or advanced financial certification (CPA, CFA) preferred. At least 7-10 years of experience in Finance/Accounting, with an emphasis on mortgage finance is required. Prior experience and knowledge of the life cycle of a loan. Understanding of mortgage regulations (state and federal) and agency/investor requirements. Experience with Enterprise 1 / JD Edwards accounting software (or similar accounting platform). Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting/planning. Knowledge of cost accounting and financial control systems. Strong leadership and management skills with experience in managing teams (directly and indirectly) and driving operational improvements. Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access. Ability to communicate effectively and contribute insightful strategic analysis to executive leadership throughout the company. A demonstrated ability to make quality business decisions based on complex information. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial data to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner. Strategic thinking with a focus on long-term growth. Detail oriented with a strong understanding of financial controls.
