Job Description
Director of National Accounts
Through your passion and motivation, you sell memorable experience to guests who stay in your property. You are professional and knowledgeable about your property, and you build strong relationships and create bond with your guests.
What you will be doing:
Solicit group business, and reach consistent achievement of sales objectivesEstablish parameters, quotes and negotiate prices and seal contractsParticipate in tradeshows, conventions and promotional eventsMaintain accounts, contact, activity and business detailsHost site and pre-planning visits with customersDevelop monthly sales strategy and action plans with quarterly quotas (Room Nights/sales activities), and develop rapport with relevant Fairmont Global Sales Office(s), key partners in travel and tourism related industries/travel bureauMaintain active membership in industry related organizations and associations pertaining to the specific market.Mentor and provide best practices for the Group Sales teamAbility to contract and manage large programs (350+ on peak) Seasoned at contract negotiation Detail orientated and capable of putting together hotel agreements with specialized clausesEfficient response time on leads and strong conversion track recordAccount Manager for top performing hotel accounts with focus on developing accounts for repeat business opportunitiesSeasoned customer advisor and the ability to build trust Ability to work with seasoned hotel leaders and build trustUpon closing, coordinate and follow up with convention services, catering and/or other hotel departments to ensure delivery of hotel's promised servicesCollect market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement strategy and long term goalsAssist as directed, in the planning and strategies of the Group Sales effort, with development of competitive intelligence and in the preparation of the Marketing plan, especially as it relates to the group segmentHandle special projects as assigned in a timely mannerOther Duties and Responsibilities as assignedCreating memorable experiences for customersWhat is in it for you:

Your experience and skills include:
Relevant hotel sales experience is a mustPreferably a minimum of one year in large group hotel or two years in boutique hotel.Luxury hotel experience is a plus. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesHighly responsible & reliableExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal requiredStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesAdditional Information
