Behavioral Health will be responsible for the oversight of the inpatient behavioral health units and service line in the Fairfield region which includes the Westport Campus as well as the inpatient and behavioral health unit in the emergency department at St Vincentrsquos Medical Center The Director will collaborate with physician leaders the management team and relevant clinical and administrative leaders to plan comprehensive programs and ensure that the highest level of quality patient centered care is deliveredKey AccountabilitiesEnsures quality patient care by setting standards and identifying opportunities for improvements for nursing practice and client care that are evidence based for the behavioral health specialtiesCollaborates with Behavioral Health Network and other Hartford Healthcare nursing colleagues to promote and standardize best practices in behavioral health nursingCreates a thriving trusting team culture Provides team with clear expectations positive and constructive feedback to maximize potential and improve performance Encourages professional development identifying opportunities for growth and ongoing education Participates in the preparation and monitoring of operating and capital budgets in collaboration with the department leaders forecasts demand for services and conducts trending analysis Creates presents and integrates service line business and operational plansmetrics which align with the achievement of key hospital strategic objectivesFacilitates continuous performance improvement by encouraging innovation direction of the healthcare systemIntellectually facile will have the ability to be conceptually creative grasp large amounts of information quickly and articulate conclusions in a clear mannerVisible
