Responsibilities Ensure there are systems in place to facilitate the effective and efficient day to day operation of the Department of Nursing Responsible for utilizing the performance improvement process to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Nursing DepartmentMonitor clinical data to ensure the facility is meeting the clinical needs of each resident and the clinical goals of the facilityInitiate appropriate and timely problem identification and problem solving in response to changes in clinical dataRoutinely monitors census, resident acuity and staffing levels to ensure effective and efficient staffing patterns are in placeIn the absence of the Administrator is responsible for oversight of the facility operationsEnsure there are systems in place to facilitate timely and effective clinical decision making regarding admission of new residents to the facilityParticipate in the monitoring of patient referrals and actual admissions identifying potential barriers to admissions and recommends solutions to accommodate additional types of patients Qualifications Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.Current Maryland RN licensureProgressive management experience in a skilled nursing facility highly recommendedEqual Opportunity Employer
