We are seeking a Director of Operations to join our team in the Farmville, VA area. In this role, you will lead and oversee all aspects of telecommunications drop bury projects, managing financial performance, field operations, and workforce coordination. This role requires a hands-on strategic leader who can optimize operational efficiency while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The Role
Oversees all aspects of drop bury operations, including project planning, resource allocation, and quality controlEstablishes and maintains operational procedures, best practices, and safety protocolsCoordinates with utility companies, municipalities, and other stakeholders for permits and right-of-way accessPartners on equipment maintenance programs and fleet management for marketBuilds, leads, and mentors a team of leaders and field personnel, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and excellenceDevelops relationships with key vendors, subcontractors, and partnersMonitors performance, and ensures all third-party work adheres to project specifications and deadlinesManages monthly and annual market P&L budgets, providing additional reports and metrics as required to track financial performanceMonitors expenses and implements strategies to mitigate cost overruns, while ensuring top qualityMaintains project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and delays are proactively addressedEnsures all projects adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA safety standardsPartners with Safety to implement and enforce site-specific safety plansActs as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and executive leadershipProvides regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunitiesImplements best practices and innovative solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance project qualityStays updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes
