CU Boulder Athletics encourages applications for the Director of Operations for Olympic Sports! The purpose of this position is to serve as a lead in Olympic sports operations and assist in post-season event management. The position is responsible for coordination and reconciliation of team travel, on-campus recruiting visits, off-campus recruiting, scheduling of events, and game-day activities of Women's Volleyball. This position will also take the lead in varying on-campus operations for Men's Golf, Women's Golf and Women's Tennis. In addition to sports operations, the position will assume increasing responsibility to assist in the development and promotion of post-season campus-hosted events. The Director of Operations will report directly to the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) but will also work closely with head and assistant coaches.  This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department’s Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be: Sports Operations Director - Volleyball:  Serve as the direct contact or secondary liaison for Athletic Administration, Academic Services, Performance Nutrition, Equipment Staff, Training Room, Strength and Conditioning, Team Compliance, Ticket Office, Business Office, Housing, Events and other areas related to the Volleyball Programs Be responsible for team itineraries, transportation, lodging, meals, practice schedules, contracts and related requirements for department travel. Travel with team for regular and post-season travel. Coordinate recruiting travel and processing of recruiting data in compliance/recruiting database. Plan, arrange, and assist with recruiting visits on campus. Develop, plan and coordinate programs for student-athlete development and service activities. This will include various team functions, team-building programs, campus events and community outreach. Sport Operations Director - Men's and Women's Golf, Women's Tennis:  Supervise and support team itineraries, transportation, lodging, meals and related requirements for departmental travel. Will have the ability to travel with affiliated programs during post-season, as schedule allows. Coordinate coach recruiting travel and processing of recruiting data in compliance database. Plan, arrange, and assist with recruiting visits on campus for prospective student-athletes. Responsible for maintaining budgetary records and meeting requirements of the department. Appraise head coaches of accounting and administrative business on a routine basis. Responsible for balancing receipts for team travel, coaches travel and recruiting travel through the CU expense system. Championships and Post-Season Events: Will serve as a member of the CU Athletics Post-Season Events Committee Assist in post-season bid submission, proposed budgets, hotel coordination, visitor guides and administrative meetings. Work closely with marketing and BSP to help promote and increase attendance, as well as What We Can Offer: The salary rate is $65,000 to $69,000 annually. The University of Colorado Boulder is one of the largest employers in Boulder County and offers an inspiring higher education environment.    What We Require: Bachelor's degree.  One year experience working with a collegiate athletic program.  Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.  Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays as required. Travel with the Volleyball team is essential and occasional post-season travel with other teams may be required. What You Will Need: Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Teamworks, Arms, and Concur, or related programs. Excellent organizational proficiency, customer service skills and strong oral and written communication skills. Experience effectively creating and maintaining budgets. Dedication to diversity and equity. What We Would Like You to Have: Master's degree. Two to three years of experience with a Division I Sports program in operations. Experience using recruiting/compliance software. Experience using University financial budgeting or accounting system.
