Overview:

Ensure all functions within assigned group in the Business Development department are driving toward common goals, as set forth in strategic and operating plans. Maintain compliance within Business Development department in regards to strategic initiatives, policy, procedures and training. Responsible for the identification and realization of attractive growth and alliance opportunities. Foster a complete and positive account relationship which allows revenue maximization with our existing business while sourcing new lines of business with in your account base.

Job Description:

Define, refine, test and implement strategic plans; activities include primary research, industry, market and competitive analysis, and customer needs assessmentIdentify, build, and manage long-term relationships with strategic partnersDevelop, maintain and communicate knowledge, awareness and understanding of company policies and procedures, goals, objectives and strategiesOversee programs and action plans and regularly evaluate the departments progress to meet company and departmental productivity goalsParticipate in development and preparation of annual preliminary budget for operations and activities, and adjust programs and strategies to meet financial objectivesReview monthly and performance reports and assure proper and timely resolution of personnel issues, complaints and conflictsCreate and maintain a culture of accountability and ensure adequate trainingEnsure business conducted within the organization is of the highest ethical and professional standardsDevelop and maintain an effective department through proper selection, training and assignment of personnelAssist in establishing and maintaining departmental time lines and prioritiesContinually develop in conjunction with senior management the marketing strategic planMaintain thorough knowledge of key market trendsIdentify future industry trends and client contact opportunitiesServe as initial point of contact in developing and maintaining new business relationships

Performance Measurements:

Creation of professional, concise and persuasive presentations as required for new/potential/existing clientsEnsure all projects are completed on time to satisfaction of internal and external needsInitiate and complete proposals, terms and conditions, negotiations, and execution of opportunitiesAccurately create opportunity assessment, market evaluation, and financial evaluation of existing accountsDevelop client/product roadmap in the long, mid and short term incorporating customer needs, input, and feedback from internal and external groupsBenchmark performance against internal and external goalsPersuade existing clients to change processes when necessary in order to accomplish goalsPenetrate account base completely to maximize existing lines of business while securing new lines of business

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree required; Master's degree a plus7-10 years of relevant experienceMust have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide concise monthly business summaries, deliver presentations to all levelsAbility to develop high level of credibility and positive professional working relationships with team members, peers and upper managementAbility to motivate staff and effectively resolve performance issuesProven track record in sales and marketingSuccessfully manage client teams responsible for key accountsAbility to show judgment and initiative to make decisions and problem solve
