Job title: Director of Operations
Hours: Full Time M-F
Location: South East MA territory
General Statement of Duties: Oversee the management of day to day operations of the residential network. Work closely with senior management staff to identify and develop new programs and supports.
Responsibilities:
1. Monitor, oversee and supervise the operation of assigned services.
2. Spearhead the transitioning process of referrals into BAMSI residential services; coordinate with residential providers and BAMSI’s clinical team to develop and implement a transition plan.
3. Ensure the delivery of quality services to consumers in all assigned programs, including consumer advocacy.
4. Coordinate and oversee the DDS/ABI/MFP licensing, CARF, Medicaid and Quality Management survey process within designated programs.
5. Coordinate, oversee, monitor and supervise the implementation of all program and support plans to address the programmatic needs of consumers, ensuring the protection of consumer rights.
6. Ensure program compliance with funding source regulations, Quality Assurance standards and guidelines established by other monitoring agents including Division of Medical Assistance, DDS/ABI/MFP and DPH.
7. In conjunction with supervisor, ensure preparation, implementation and administration of program budgets as well as maintain accurate financial records and compliance with funding source and agency fiscal requirements.
8. Establish and ensure the development and implementation of program and agency policies and procedures as well as those required by state and federal agencies and funding sources.
9. Act as primary liaison with other agency programs, external affiliated agencies, federal, state and local officials and community members.
10. Establish and monitor program goals and objectives consistent with agency philosophy and program design as required by DDS/ABI/MFP and agency policy.
11. Conduct investigations and program evaluations as assigned and ensure implementation of recommendations for such reports for programs supervised.
12. Identify staff training needs and coordinate same.
13. Perform duties to reflect agency policies and procedures.
14. Actively participate in regularly scheduled management team meetings.
15. Participate in the development and submission of proposals.
16. Supervise, evaluate, discipline, and make recommendations for hiring and termination of staff.
17. Keep self and staff up-to-date regarding best practices.
18. Perform other related work duties as needed or as assigned by supervisor or designee.
Qualifications:
· HS diploma (or GED), required. Bachelor’s Degree in human service or related field strongly preferred.
· In lieu of a Bachelors Degree a minimum of seven years of senior supervisory experience in human services required
· Previous experience overseeing DDS/ABI/MFP, day services and/or residential services required.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence and have own means of transportation.
· Ability to function independently at a high level of competency required.
