Director of Operations

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

Develop and implement efficient systems and cost-effective processes to enhance operational success. Oversee operational budgets, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Facility Service Managers (FSMs). Conduct biweekly ride-alongs with FSMs to ensure adherence to operational standards and foster skill development. Identify training needs and coordinate off-site training sessions as required. Implement and monitor individual performance scorecards.

Client and Vendor Relationship Management:

Build and maintain relationships with clients to achieve a client retention rate above 90%. Manage and grow key accounts, including negotiating terms and ensuring satisfaction. Develop partnerships with vendors and Independent Contractors (ICs) to align with scope requirements.

Collaboration and Cross-Selling:

Partner with sales and commercial building teams to identify growth opportunities and drive non-janitorial services. Actively promote cross-functional collaboration and innovation.

Strategic Planning and Performance Monitoring:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success in operational, financial, and client management areas. Conduct weekly team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and boost morale.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years in operations or account management leadership. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems. Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams effectively. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Preferred Certifications: CPSP (Certified Professional Salesperson): Enhances strategic account management skills. SAMA (Strategic Account Management Association): Focuses on relationship management for key accounts.
