The role you’ll contribute:
The Director of Operations is responsible for the overall operational success of the medical practices assigned to them. Provides strategic leadership and direction utilizing the tools that have been provided, including the coordination of all practice activities except those directly involving professional medical judgment. Ensures the development and implementation of service line plans within assigned specialties, driving practice financial viability and improving operations in terms of quality and processes. Works in collaboration with Florida Hospital support departments in order to meet the needs of the practices and maintain efficient operations. Position requires a high degree of independence, initiative, judgment and follow-through on a wide range of sensitive and complex issues.

Leads the day-to-day operations and finances of the medical practices and aligns these initiatives with the strategic vision of Florida Hospital to promote overall practice growth and development.
Hires and supervises Practice Administrators, office managers, associate directors and other ancillary management staff as applicable.
Drives financial accountability according to goals and budgets.
Drives expected outcomes for local and corporate established operational goals.
Drives improvement around patient experience initiatives set by division or AHS.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management or Healthcare related field
7 experience in management related to healthcare operations in a group practice environment.
Proficient experience in compliant coding guidelines, reimbursement procedures, medical records management and efficient practice operations. Required
Practical knowledge and experience in working with practice management software systems with the ability to direct workflow in order to optimize operations.
Experience in budgetary finance and accounting skills with regards to practice management and operations.
Advanced healthcare degree, certifications and industry knowledge.
Ability to effectively manage employees.
Able to construct and analyze financial and other reporting.
Demonstrated experience in business that is focused in a customer-centric service delivery matrix.
Operational management experience in the healthcare setting.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to be self-directed and a self-starter.
Ability to pay attention to details.
Ability to deal with and manage stressful situations.
Professional demeanor.
Significant experience with customer relations.
Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint).
Ability to manage, train, explain, support and follow recommended processes.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Highly strategic, creative and process oriented.
Ability to interface and influence at all organizational levels.
Willing to travel regionally.
Functions well in a matrix organization.
Preferred qualifications :
Master's Degree in Health Care Administration (MHA)
Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
