Director of Operations – Adult Drug & Alcohol Services (London/Southern area)

We are looking for an inspirational and strategic leader to shape the future of Adult Drug and Alcohol Services at Change Grow Live. As Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in defining, designing, and delivering the strategic direction of services, ensuring alignment with our organisational vision and priorities.

 

Working closely with the Executive team, fellow Directors, our CQC Registered Managers and multi-disciplinary operational teams, you will lead transformative, evidence-based interventions that drive innovation, service excellence, and long-term impact.

This role offers the opportunity to influence policy, strengthen partnerships, and implement systemic improvements, ensuring that individuals affected by substance use receive the highest standard of care and support.

Location: Hybrid – Contracted to our London (Kings Cross) Business unit
Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £90,657.29 - £94,192.05 (dependent on experience)

 

*please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

 

 

Responsibilities

This is a high-impact role, where you will:

Lead the strategic development and delivery of adult drug and alcohol services, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and national best practices.Drive continuous improvement – Foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and service excellence.Lead organisational growth – Develop and implement new service models, securing funding and expansion opportunities.Build strong partnerships – Work collaboratively with commissioners, funders, and key stakeholders to enhance service impact.Champion inclusion and accessibility – Ensure services are responsive to the diverse needs of the people and communities we support
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, an operational excellence.
Mentor and develop future leaders, strengthening internal talent and leadership pipelines.
Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safeguarding standards, proactively managing risk and accountability.

The ideal candidate will have:

Extensive leadership experience in health, social care, or the charity sector, with the ability to drive service transformation and innovation.Strong knowledge of governance, regulatory frameworks, and risk management.Experience in securing funding and developing new service delivery models.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships.A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and workforce development, fostering a positive and supportive culture.Strong project management, budgeting, and organisational skills.A collaborative and solutions-focused approach, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
