Job Description

Job Summary

The Director of Facilities Operations, under the direction of the Executive Vice President within CMI’s IFM Integrated Facilities Management services division, will support business development and operational efforts for O&M, Custodial, Grounds, and Logistics service programs at CMI’s various sites throughout the US as needed.

Key Job Functions

Business Development Support –Read RFP/RFI packages to understand scopes of work and provide feedback based on knowledge of CMI operations, resources, capabilities, past performanceTravel to potential job sites as needed to conduct business development site visitsIdentify local specialty vendors and acquire pricing for servicesParticipate in technical and cost proposal reviews in collaboration with CMI business development staffParticipate in the pricing process for new opportunitiesWork with CMI business development personnel to onboard new contracts (i.e., staffing, transition, orientation logistics) prior to award and serve as onsite Transition Manager for any new project awardsCollaborate with HR to screen and interview key personnel rolesOperational Support –Travel to client sites to fill in as onsite backup for any vacant Project Manager role while sourcing a full-time PM, wherein tasks would include managing daily operations of assigned facilities and maintenance programs including staff, contractors, and vendorsMeet with current clients and CMI Project Management to ensure contract compliance and customer satisfaction with ongoing workExercise discretion when making recommendations concerning appointment, retention, promotion, and assignment of Facilities Operations personnel, collaborate closely with CMI Human ResourcesProvide support and assistance as needed to address site-specific issues and customer concernsSupport site Project Management during any staff surges Assist site Project Management in responding to customer complaints as needed

QualificationsBachelor’s degreeEight (8) or more years of professional experience in Facilities Management directing O&M teams, preferably within government facilities of at least 1M sq ftFive (5) or more years of supervisory experience of Operations & Maintenance staffMust be willing to travel multiple times per month and with short notice as neededMust have one or more facilities related educational or experience related designations, such as: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), or Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or equivalent
