Director of People + Culture Marketing and Communications
 As the Director of People + Culture Marketing & Communications at Cone Health, you will work closely with the Executive Director of People Strategy to revolutionize our employee and candidate experience. Through your creative and strategic workplace communications, you will strengthen our employer brand and foster loyalty among our team members. Your recruitment marketing and organizational communication expertise will also help us attract, recruit and retain the best talent to build a future-ready workplace.

 

 

 

HR Communications
• Develop and execute effective communication plans, channel strategies and content to support People + Culture initiatives and build engagement among Cone Health team members.
• Operate consistently as a thought leader and partner to Cone Health’s Enterprise Marketing and Communications team and senior leaders to support organizational goals and ensure consistent messaging and alignment.
• Oversee creating engaging content and campaigns for various communication channels such as intranet, newsletters, social media, public relations and paid media through authentic, compelling storytelling.
• Manage the nomination and communication process for workplace-related and senior leader awards for publications and organizations such as Modern Healthcare, Forbes, Newsweek, North Carolina Healthcare Association and Triad Business Journal to expand regional and national recognition of Cone Health and our leaders.
• Serve as a strategic partner to respond to the tactical needs of People + Culture initiatives such as employee surveys, employee benefits, employee performance management, Culture, Equity & Belonging initiatives and talent acquisition programs.
• Use analytics to monitor and measure the impact of communication efforts and make recommendations for improvement.


Employer Branding
• Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy to refine Cone Health’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and execute initiatives to attract, engage and retain top talent.
• Partner with technical teams, creative pros, stakeholders and SMEs to enhance the functionality, content and user experience on Cone Health’s career site and external reputation/review sites such as Glassdoor and LinkedIn. Apply knowledge of Cone Health’s workforce planning and development needs to create and execute a roadmap for career site enhancements to support a future-ready workplace.
• Develop and manage employer brand marketing and advertising campaigns to increase brand awareness and attract top talent.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure that Cone Health’s employer brand remains authentic, future-focused and competitive.
• Work with stakeholders to identify and address employee engagement issues and identify innovative ways to use communications to improve Cone Health’s employer brand and reputation.


Recruitment Marketing
• Plan, develop and implement memorable omnichannel recruitment marketing campaigns and employ sophisticated audience segmentation strategies to attract diverse and qualified candidate populations effectively.
• Define and track success KPIs to measure the ROI and business impact of recruitment marketing initiatives. Report results and metrics to stakeholders, including senior leaders.
• Work with internal creative teams and external agency partners to develop recruitment campaigns and materials such as digital marketing banner ads, brochures, flyers, displays, videos and website content.
• Analyze labor market trends to develop and refine messaging that resonates with potential sources of talent.

 

EDUCATION:Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or a related field is required. Master's degree preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:Required:
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in various marketing and communication disciplines such as corporate, internal or HR communications; employer branding; recruitment marketing; advertising agency account management or similar fields.
• Strong writing, editing, planning, and presentation skills, as well as proficiency in communication tools.
• Experience supporting C-suite executives and providing strategic communication counsel.
• Portfolio and work product examples to demonstrate a proven track record of developing and executing strategic communication initiatives, content and advertising/recruitment marketing campaigns within limited budgets and tight time frames.
• Experience managing budgets and contracts to expertly negotiate preferred rates and effectively execute media plans and omnichannel campaigns.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a small internal team of creative professionals and oversee relationships with external agencies and media partners.
