Position Summary

The Director of People Attraction is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Director of People Attraction is a key player in upholding our organization's ethical values and fostering positive relationships both within our company and with external partners. Leading a dedicated team of recruiters, this role prioritizes the growth and well-being of our team members to contribute to our organizational success. S/he takes on the responsibility of sharing best practices company-wide, addressing recruitment challenges, and collaborating closely with senior business and HR leaders to ensure our hiring strategies are in sync with our organization's needs and goals.


Position Specific Responsibilities

Collaborates closely with HR leaders to execute targeted recruiting campaigns and provide regular progress reports.Collaborates on external advertising, applicant tracking systems, teammate referral programs, and management training related to effective hiring.Stays updated on recruiting trends, labor laws, and legislative developments affecting business profitability.Leads, motivates, coaches, and guides the recruiting team.Sets the direction and manages recruiting strategy, guidelines, and procedures, emphasizing staffing best practices and methodologies.Collaborates to select, appoint, and manage third-party vendors and supplier relationships, ensuring performance metrics are met.Develops a People Attraction Scorecard and take ownership of people attraction objectives.Persuades and influences key decision-makers within the organization.Acts as a People Attraction Leader, partnering with senior business leaders in assigned areas.Ensures the People Attraction team is appropriately aligned with specialty areas, particularly those with high volume.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve overall recruiting goals.Engages, develops, and oversees individual training and growth plans for direct reports.Implements career development opportunities for People Attraction Specialists.Solicits input from staff regarding decisions and implementations.Leads process improvement initiatives and implement necessary changes.Implements customer surveys for hiring managers and rejected candidates.Maintains proactive and mindful leadership practices.Maintains accountability for compliance with employment laws in the assigned specialty area.Collaborates with the People Attraction leadership team to support the diversity and inclusion strategy company-wide.Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in HR/Talent Acquisition may be accepted in lieu of a degree.Minimum of five (5) years of talent acquisition experience required.Proven experience in utilizing metrics to inform business decisions.Experience in a corporate or agency environment required; experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.Experience in strategizing people attraction for challenging roles.Proficiency in behaviorally based interview techniques and strong candidate assessment skills.Demonstrated success in community outreach to build diverse applicant pipelines.Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and candidate relationship management systems.


Skills

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting issues and trends, labor laws, and legislative initiatives that have short- and long-term implications on the profitability of the business. Ability to build strong relationships throughout the organization. Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy. Strong leadership and consensus-building skills.


Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Estimated salary range $95000 - $190000 / year. Actual salary will vary by geographic location and experience.
