Job Summary: The Director of Physician Practice Management manages, directs, and monitors the operational and financial functions of CarolinaEast Physicians. This individual works collaboratively with staff and providers to establish and implement the goals of the organization, ensure consistent standards of practice to achieve operational excellence, manage the expenses via the practice budget and ensure the practice is consistent with CarolinaEast Health System policies and procedures, its standards of care, approved protocols and standing orders. This individual has responsibility for daily administration, oversight and performance of the clinical and financial operations of the practices while adhering to practice standards governed by state and federal regulatory agencies and CarolinaEast Health System.

CarolinaEast Physicians is made up of over 150 physicians, and mid-level providers who provide care to patients spanning four eastern North Carolina Counties. We have specialties including Primary Care, Pediatrics, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Podiatry, Endocrinology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Otolaryngology, General Surgery, Oncology, Urology, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, and Gastroenterology.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree is preferred. Three years of progressive management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Excellent communication skills and experience dealing with complex issues. Experience developing plans for improvement, expansions and partnerships with the leadership and decision-making skills to finalize and implement plans required. Ability to apply and maintain compliance of policies and principles set forth by CarolinaEast throughout the clinic network. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public. Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
