Position:  Director of Physician Practice & Recruitment

Facility:  219 Health Network (FQHC-LAL)

Location:  East Chicago, IN  (requires travel to various locations in Northwest Indiana)

 

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the 219 Health Network Executive Director, the Director of Physician Practice & Recruitment is responsible to plan, organize, implement and operate medical practices within 219HN.  Coordinates daily operations of practices, including clinical and business functions/systems. Recruits Providers and coordinates office locations in coordination with the 219HN Administration team. Plans services for outpatient diagnostic centers and promotes services to Providers to facilitate growth of diagnostic volume. Provides input for strategic operational plans including marketing and public relations, business development, financial management, and Provider recruitment.

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required in related field (healthcare management, business management, finance and/or operations); MBA, or other related advanced degree, strongly preferred Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in physician office management, physician recruitment, or business management in healthcare required Required knowledge of medical management systems, patient accounts, billing management Previous experience with Electronic Medical Record system required; EPIC strongly preferred Must have excellent analytical ability to evaluate and interpret data and financial reports Strong interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and others part of the healthcare team Must exhibit strong leadership qualities, great communication skills, and excellent organization and time management traits Local travel required; must be committed to visiting physician practice sites and attending administrative meetings as necessary; able to effectively manage multiple departments and facility locations
