Job Description

Women’s Pelvic Restorative Center is the largest center staffed solely by fellowship-trained board certified Specialists in a private practice setting. Our patients enjoy the comprehensive service and unique individualized approach we take with each patient. Our doctors and dedicated staff seek to provide women with the highest level of care for female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. SUMMARY

The general duties of a Director of Practice Operations can be summed up in a few words: Plans, directs, coordinates, and manages people and policies. All tasks that relate to the business and how the business is perceived by others are part of the Director of Practice Operations’ responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT; Oversee the daily operational activities. Coordinate the human and material resources of the clinic. Regarding programs and employee policies, directors formulate policies and coordinate methods to ensure patient satisfaction.FINANCIAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT; Set and meet financial goals. Monitoring progress against budget. Planning and implementing capital expenditures. Following progress of business office.PRACTICE OPERATIONS; Supervises and advises Practice Physicians. Acts as a liaison between Practice Physicians and Privia Medical Group. Assures resource management to achieve practice business goals. Directs practice operations to assure financial viability through service quality and clinical excellence to the population served. Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and proficiency HRIS and communication systems available to meet practice needs.COMPLIANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT; Strive to satisfy all federal and state laws and mandates. Upholds all applicable regulatory agency guidelines. Supports Performance Consultant and office staff in upholding clinical quality in practice.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS

Must be well-organized, open-minded, decisive, and flexible.Ability to work independently and to motivate and develop the staff.Must be able to communicate well with others, work as a team, and lead others by example and direction.Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.Extensive computer experienceKnowledge and command of principles of financial analysis, strategic planning, operations, human resources and information systems.Knowledge of the medical, insurance and basic health-care industries.Ability to collect, analyze, and apply data and other pertinent information to develop short and long term practice goals and budget needs.Work closely with physicians, other providers and Privia Medical Group to establish and meet short and long term strategic practice goals.Proactively searches for and recommends opportunities to enhance practice services and revenue.Consistently demonstrates excellent leadership and customer service skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work within an office setting, maintain a 40-hour work week and travel 10 to 20 percent of the time. The job typically requires little physical exertion, but may be on their feet throughout the workday.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree highly preferred or relevant equivalent experience. MBA and/or MHA preferred.Requires 5+ years of healthcare management experience, preferably in a practice setting.
