Director of Process Engineering, Lean Engineering and Operations Improvement

Reporting to the VP of Operations Strategy, Technical Services & Transportation, you will lead our Engineering organization, which includes Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Operations Improvement. Your role will be crucial in helping us develop and execute a sustainable Process Improvement/Lean strategy across QVC and HSN.

Your Impact

Leadership & Strategy:

Lead and manage our diverse engineering team to drive fulfillment improvements through design, innovation, and process changes.

Help us make strategic decisions regarding physical and process changes within our Fulfillment and Returns Centers.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean methodologies within our organization.

Budget Management:

Oversee our annual CAPEX budget ranging from $30M to $150M for projects across multiple Fulfillment Centers.

Manage our substantial run/operate budget for the FC Network and Service Improvements.

Engineering Excellence:

Develop our operating plans, equipment, and business processes based on our requirements, service levels, and capacity constraints.

Enhance our job setups and operational processes by leveraging your engineering expertise.

Drive our Core Process Redesign projects to support service improvements and capacity increases.

Support our automation and innovation implementations.

Industrial & Process Engineering:

Manage our change management projects to improve capacity, quality, and efficiency at our FC sites.

Establish and measure our labor standards across all functions and FCs.

Partner with our FC leaders to ensure successful implementation of innovations and training for our employees.

Develop our Lean/PI strategies, conduct large-scale process improvement events, and help us achieve significant annual savings (>$1M).

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience leading our engineering and process optimization teams.

Proficiency in Lean methodologies and continuous improvement.

Strong budget management skills.

Commitment to encouraging a collaborative and innovative working environment.

What You Bring

10+ years of business experience.

Experience in P&L ownership or customer-facing/revenue-generating roles.

People and Business leadership

Influence and network-building experience

Global cultural awareness

Project management expertise

Industrial engineering skills

Knowledge in lean management and Kaizen practices

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research) or related technical disciplines.

MBA a plus
