Element has an opportunity for a Director of Procurement to join our growing team in our cutting-edge Global Business Solutions (GBS) Hub located in Cincinnati, OH. This is a great opportunity to develop your Procurement career within a globally leading, laboratory-based TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) business.

 

We are looking for a positive, driven and proactive self-starter who is motivated by success and a natural passion to deliver results. You will work in a dynamic environment necessitating the ability to prioritise, organize and coordinate activities and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

 

Responsibilities Lead and develop a high performing regional procurement team. Build and foster relationships with key stakeholders to ensure close collaboration on all areas of procurement and contract management.Review all major contracts and establish a strategy and timescale for re-negotiation of the contracts to deliver cost savings and quality improvements against service delivery, ESG and safety objectives. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the procurement of materials and services.Implement supplier performance evaluation methodologies to drive supplier continuous improvement and delivery of key performance indicators. Streamline supplier base and leverage key suppliers to service our laboratories throughout North America. Identify, qualify & onboard new suppliers as needed.Oversee execution of RFP process. Support capital expenditures through sourcing, negotiations and internal stakeholder engagement.Drive compliance through purchasing policies and controls. Skills / Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field 10+ years of experience in procurement activities across a range of expenditure categories (Opex and Capex). Proven track record of driving cost savings and process improvements. Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively across functions and geographies.Experience in change management and implementing procurement transformation initiatives is a plus.
