Purpose Statement
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for providing focused leadership to the entire operations within a site. The GM leads the Site Leadership Team (SLT), which is comprised of operations and functional leaders at the site, and interacts with regional functional and customer management teams to drive execution to customer expectations. To do this they will maximize the potential of the human capital at the site and continuously create the systems, processes and environment that deliver operational excellence as well as inspire people to give their best. They will also lead the team in driving adoption of operational excellence models and approaches.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Develop and implement strategies, complementary to Global and Regional strategies, processes and measures in alignment with global standard work to foster operational excellence, continuous improvement and an engaging work.Ensure and maintain strong connections with the customer service organization to enable continued profitable business growth.Achieve results by integrating processes, organizational capability and culture within a system of management.Ensure accuracy and transparency of financial and other performance data to facilitate sound decision-making in line with regional and site strategies.Build strong leadership, functional, and operational teams that are well integrated with regional and corporate resources to achieve aligned site, regional, and global manufacturing goals.Responsible to exemplify and hold their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.Education/Experience Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.Master’s degree is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Ten (10) years of related experience is required; Ten (10) or more years of related experience is preferred.A highly skilled manager with well-rounded experience or lean knowledge in manufacturing environment is preferred.P&L experience as a Plant Manager or above level with management responsibility for manufacturing processes of high technology products and services in an electronics-manufacturing environment is beneficial.Other Qualifications:
Enthusiasm toward coordination of teams in the contract manufacturing services industry with a focus on support and direction of manufacturing and customer teams.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to influence others.Strong business and financial acumen as it applies to the manufacturing environment.Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and develop a diverse team of professionals.Demonstrated advanced decision making and problem solving skills.Physical Requirements:
