Your Team, Your Impact
The Director of Product Engineering for Optics will lead the manufacturing development and continuous improvement needed for the productization of Marvell's cutting-edge optical products, ranging from Silicon Photonic chip/wafers, pluggable modules and co-packaged optics. This role requires a deep understanding of optical technologies, photonic and electrical IC manufacturing practices, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation and excellence for volume production.Note: A candidate who meet the technical qualification with a driven attitude, but lacking management experience, can have the opportunity to be considered fitting into a senior level individual contributor role instead.
What You Can Expect
Lead and manage the silicon photonics product engineering and test operations group.Oversee end-to-end Manufacturing solution development for Marvell’s most-advanced silicon photonics products and sub-assemblies, including optical alignment, vendor and new packaging/testing technology development, and contract manufacture bring-up.Responsible for sustaining and continual improvement in test operations of optical modules, OSAs and Co-packaged Optics.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Packaging, Quality and external vendors, to drive new product development (NPI) and improvement as well as planning and procurement teams on production ramp and yield issues.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for the silicon photonics product and test operations team to ensure successful product launches.Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement to ensure product quality.What We're Looking For
Master’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, Photonics, Optical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of industry experience in product and test engineering for volume production, with a focus on Silicon photonics, Optical transceiver modules and subassemblies, or other related opto-electronic devices.Minimum 5 years of team management experience with strong communication skills in a matrix project management environment.Prior experience in silicon photonics design, development and manufacturing is a big plus.Prior experience in IC manufacturing processes, assembly and test practices is highly desired.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Additional Compensation and Benefit Elements
