Job DescriptionJob Summary:
The Director of Product Management & Marketing in the Materials Testing Business is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing a comprehensive marketing strategy and driving initiatives to enhance market position and organic growth in the business. This position would have direct responsibility for marketing and product management.
Candidates must possess a history of strong leadership. Have experience in product management, market strategy, and technology. The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment, interface closely with other functional leaders (domestic and globally) and can develop and direct strategy.
Major Areas of Accountability
Ability to lead a team to gather high-quality customer insights Define and effectively articulate a strategy for product development that supports the business’s organic growth and market differentiation goals Has in-depth customer and market knowledge and demonstrates the ability to convert market insights into key growth opportunities aligned with the overall business strategy Has the ability to drive value proposition creation to address customer needs and pain points. Key leader in the annual and long-range planning process to develop and implement growth strategies, operational plans, policies, projections and budgets in support of business goals. Has the courage to stop projects when needed Drive domestic and international marketing strategies and tactics to support current and new markets while managing product pricing and positioning Determine market size/share, revenue potential, and ROI to develop plans and sales channels to increase sales growth, profitable margins, and solution sales approaches Use data and analytics to make informed decisions and optimizations. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing and innovation initiatives Oversee the development and execution of a strong brand identity and marketing campaigns for materials testing products Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities Assess team capabilities and address gaps when identified QualificationsEducation, Experience & Skills Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or technical discipline Minimum 7-10 years of related experience Ability to contribute at a strategic level to define growth strategy and rationalize product portfolio Knowledge of marketing and the product development process and tools Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present at all levels of the organization. Highly motivated and results oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team environment with ability to easily adapt to change, consistently meet deadlines and excellent follow through.
