Job Summary Responsible for managing all aspects of their product. This position has national responsibility. Assesses profitability, growth, competitors' strategies, and initiates changes to the product or rating approach in the territory in order to maximize Farmers opportunities. Essential Job Functions Has profit and loss responsibility for assigned product/territory. Develops long- and short-term plans for their assigned product/territory in conjunction with corresponding State Executives. Directs development of pricing and contract changes for product. Develops and implements new products. Manages the analysis and research performed in the development of their product and its alignment with other solutions. Communicates with regulators on complex filing issues. Develops and recommends operations, service, claims, and market standards. Stays abreast of industry developments. Negotiates and sets priorities to align product goals with the State Executives goals. Initiates projects and obtains approval from senior management. Works with IT to plan system changes and develop requirements. Facilitates through other parts of the organization to accomplish results. Recruits, trains and develops product analysts. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Actions Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing, and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs maximum, and seeing.Physical Environment Required duties are normally performed in a climate- controlled office environment.Education Requirements Bachelor's degree required.Experience RequirementsSeven years customer/product management, marketing, and/or insurance, including five years at a managerial level.
Special Skill Requirement Recreational Casualty product experience highly preferred Thorough knowledge in pricing and insurance products. Experience with Motorcycle, Marine, Travel Trailer and Off Road Vehicle preferredBenefits
