**Role Overview:**
This role will be responsible for developing and managing the quality laboratories within AFC North America, including the personnel, equipment, budgets, and workspaces. This role will be critical in ensuring timely and standardized testing of products received from our suppliers (Incoming) and manufactured within our facilities (WIP/Final). An individual in this role will be expected to manage people, activities, and facilities within the quality laboratories at several locations throughout AFC North America.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Develop & Manage Quality labs located within AFC North America
+ Work with Quality Managers or quality team located within the Hubs/locations to ensure timely inspections
+ Perform Quality Manager reviews
+ Ensure Quality Managers tasks/reports are performed to support Corporate Quality
+ Standardize and equip laboratories to perform inspections needed to support Hub/group
+ Ensure equipment calibration and maintenance is performed including data entry into AFC standardized database
+ Standardize and maintain quality inspection workflow within ERP systems
+ Work with Corporate Quality to support internal audits, incident investigations, ERP data entry/corrections, and the QMS.
+ Propose and manage Quality labs budgets/spending (P&L)
**Qualifications/Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an engineering/science/technology related discipline
+ Experience building and managing a mechanical/industrial testing laboratory
+ Experience with one or more of the following: ISO9001, AS9100, ISO17025 and/or IATF16949
+ Significant experience in managing Quality Managers and Quality Management Systems
+ Intermediate experience with metallurgy, and coatings/plating preferred
+ Travel approximately 33%
+ Strong attention to detail, data entry, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office - including Excel, Word, and Outlook
+ Strong ability to multitask to address different projects/requests congruently
