We are hiring a Director of Training and Professional Development for our growing team! The Director of Training and Professional Development is responsible for all aspects of providing continuing educational opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the Continuing Education Unit (CEU), particularly in addiction and recovery fields, ensuring programs align with industry standards.Manage the scheduling and coordination of CEU training sessions throughout the year.Secure qualified instructors to lead CEU training, ensuring high-quality education delivery.Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement and growth of CEU programs.Recruit participants for existing and new CEUs and trainings.Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice-President of Academic Administration.Key Experience and Education Needed:
A Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, equivalent work experience will be considered.Relevant work experience in professional development, education, or a related field is desirable.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Strong communication and reporting skills, both verbal and written.Expertise in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks efficiently.Familiarity with community resources supporting physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, as well as economic and employment services.Knowledge of the impact of substance abuse on individuals and families, including available support services.Understanding of relevant Federal, State, and municipal laws governing educational institutions.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crises with professionalism and composure.Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and education levels.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present comprehensive reports.Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, exercising sound judgment and discretion.Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced, dynamic environments.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar software.ARC full-time employees enjoy very attractive benefits packages for employees and their families including health, dental, vision, life insurance, a wide array of ancillary insurance products for life’s needs, a 401(k) plan with company matching and to ensure the work-life balance - generous paid vacation, sick, holiday and maternity/paternity leave policies.
