Tufts Medical Center in partnership with Lemuel Shattuck Hospital is searching for a full time Director of Psychology in Jamaica Plain, MA. We seek a highly trained professional who specializes in diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. This is a Monday – Friday day position with no associated call. The successful Psychologist will be eligible for an academic appointment at the Tufts University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry at a rank to be determined by qualifications.
How you will impact patient care:
Conduct psychological assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help clients address their specific challenges.
Collaborate with hospital leadership and other healthcare professionals, maintain detailed client records, and stay current with advancements in psychological research and treatment modalities.
Play a critical role in promoting mental health and well-being through assessment, therapy, and support.
Train Doctoral students and be eligible for an academic appointment in the Tufts University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry at a rank to be determined by qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
PHD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in Massachusetts.
Two (2) years of experience in a community mental health setting preferred
Experienced in Forensic Psychology preferred.
Experienced in Psychodiagnostic testing.
Location: The Lemuel Shattuck Hospital (LSH) is a Department of Mental Health/Department of Public Health hospital in Jamaica Plain, MA. There are five inpatient secured units housing roughly 19 patients each. The population of LSH is largely forensic as many patients are admitted to LSH as a ‘step down’ from Bridgewater State Hospital (BSH). Many patients are admitted to LSH for restoration of competency, to determine whether competency can be restored, and for treatment, rehabilitation and discharge to the community
