\t\t\t\t\tThe Director of Quality Assurance and EHS has the responsibility for and authority for product quality and development, maintenance, and the monitoring of the Quality System. As a member of the management team, you will formulate and establish organizational policies and operating procedures for the company and develop, implement, and coordinate, through support staff to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. In this position you will be responsible for a team that applies and maintains quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards.Responsibilities may include:•\tDevelop initial and subsequent modifications of product assurance program to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures according to and consistent with company goals and policies•\tDevelop, maintain, and update the Quality Assurance Procedures Manual •\tDevelop and maintain a library of written materials and reports that will assist the QA department in meeting the core quality and objectives of the organization•\tDevelop, implement and follow through with programs to improve on quality initiatives in accordance with AS9100 standards•\tDevelop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern day to day tasks of the QA function•\tWork closely with product and program managers on the implementation of new programs and infrastructures including operational readiness, change preparation and execution, and post change QA validation•\tAssure and facilitate a QA organization structure within each facility which meets the needs of the resident production site. Help identify the facility’s issues and guide the indicated discipline in the QA process/resolution•\tConduct monthly QA meetings with department managers to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives•\tConduct monthly QA meetings with team to review quality procedures, reports, goals and objectives•\tConfer with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders, and vendor quality standards; conduct supplier audits•\tFollow established policies and procedures in support of the Company’s Quality and AS9100 standards •\tAct within expected Company standards including Quality/AS9100 initiatives and environmental, health, and safety matters•\tRecruit and maintain a strong operational team capable of addressing quality exceptions •\tAccountable and responsible for developing, implementing, managing and maintaining EHS programs, procedures, practices and training for the site(s) as determined.•\tAccountable for the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes•\tCoordinate the activities of the Site Safety Committee including site inspections and monitoring programs/processes; serve as a technical resource expert and \"EHS Champion\"•\tPromote effective communication with employees to enhance awareness of environmental and safety issues; increase employees’ knowledge and comfort level with raw materials and processes used in the facility•\tDirect and conduct investigations of all EH&S incidents. Insure root cause analysis is conducted, reports are prepared and corrective actions are implemented•\tKeep current on changing environmental, health (industrial hygiene) and safety laws and regulations (federal, state, local) and advise leadership on their impact (or potential) to the business operations•\tDevelop, conduct and monitor all required safety training to ensure minimum regulatory compliance.•\tComplete all required local, state, and federal environmental and safety reports, samples surveys, and permit modifications in a timely and accurate manner •\tOversee the development and maintenance of effective relations with government agencies and our communities•\tDirect/lead, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within department•\tContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within department.•\tRecognize your role as part of the Company’s Quality Objective; follow established policies and procedures in support of the Company’s Quality and AS9100 standards and initiatives•\tMaintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner •\tPerform other job related duties as assigned

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
