DESCRIPTION:Rush-Henrietta Central School Districtis seeking aDirector of Recruitment & Retentionto design, coordinate, and implement comprehensive recruitment and retention strategies in alignment with the District’s goals. This position plays a key role in supporting the recruitment and hiring of both certificated and classified personnel across all schools and departments. The successful candidate will foster collaborative partnerships, leverage innovative sourcing techniques, and contribute to cultivating a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented work environment. Key responsibilities:
+ Collaborates with senior leadership to design, refine, and implement strategic, forward-thinking recruitment and retention initiatives that align with the District’s mission and evolving staffing needs.
+ Builds strong relationships with school and department administrators to understand current and future hiring demands, role requirements, and organizational culture.
+ Advertises and posts job openings across multiple channels; identifies, sources, and engages prospective candidates using job boards, databases, social media platforms, and professional networks.
+ Coordinates and participates in interviews, providing guidance on best hiring practices to ensure consistent, equitable processes.
+ Organizes and represents the District at career fairs, hiring events, and outreach initiatives held by colleges, community partners, and local organizations.
+ Leads efforts to support internal career development and advancement opportunities by partnering with university and higher education partners to provide training, credentialing, and professional development pathways for current employees.

+ Collaborates closely with the communications team to ensure recruitment materials, job postings, and career pages are aligned with the District’s brand, values, and diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
+ Maintains up-to-date vacancy notices and manages the District’s centralized library of job descriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
+ Serves as a key liaison to higher education institutions, cultivating strong working relationships to support internships, student teaching, employee development, and recruitment pipelines.
SALARY:Competitive per Rush-Henrietta Administrators’ Contract, based on experience.QUALIFICATIONS:Applicants must possess New York State SDL or SDA administrator certification and have at least three years of building or district level leadership experience.
