REMOTE Responsibilities Responsible for providing support to the rehabilitation hospitals, directors of therapy and other clinical leaders in directing and facilitating the activities of nursing and clinical services. Provides a supportive leadership role in the hospital’s decision making structure and process including ensuring and facilitating competence of the clinical staff, facilitating and ensuring the appropriate staffing for patient care, and clinical program development. Develops hospital-wide systems, policies and procedures describing how patient’s care needs are assessed, evaluated and met. This entails overall responsibility and accountability for the development of staffing plans and development and implementation of departmental budgets. This position is responsible for planning appropriate utilization of resources, maintaining or improving the work environment, and monitoring and improving the quality and appropriateness of care. Supports and assures appropriate staff for the acuity of the patients, and works closely with Physicians to address patient care needs and enhance patient care systems. Will support the facility through active involvement and participation in external and internal activities concerning health care services. Provides support to the hospitals QI study for Mindmaze and grows outpatient programs utilizing Mindmaze technology for hospital to home. Improves clinical documentation for Inpatient and Outpatient. Required Skills: Bachelors of Science Degree required. Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Nursing, or related field required. Knowledge and skills associated with an advanced degree or a written plan to obtain these qualifications may be considered in lieu of the postgraduate degree. Five (5) years experience in a Therapy Management position supervising the delivery of patient care required. Current, valid, and active license to practice as an SLP in the state of employment required. Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required. Valid driver’s license may be required where work is provided in multiple sites. Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation. Additional Qualifications/Skills: Previous experience in Rehab preferred. Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor preferred. Ability to project a professional image. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
