Director of Reliability and Maintenance Engineering
Summary: ATI Forged Products is currently looking for a Director of Reliability and Maintenance Engineering to oversee our 3 facilities located in Wisconsin. A successful Director will define and lead reliability engineering strategy for Forged Products. They will lead all facilities engineering, maintenance, and electrical engineering design to ensure the safe and efficient production and to conform to customer specifications and goals. Primary Activities: + Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and optimal performance of all manufacturing equipment and facilities. + Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement + Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase equipment lifespan. + Plan, control, and direct the activities in facilities engineering to design new Forge Shop, Production Machine and support equipment, and redesign or improve existing machinery, hydraulic operation, and control of equipment, in support of Engineering and ATI Forged Products goals and objectives. + Direct the planning of facility concepts and proposals, layouts, engineering drawings, cost estimates and coordinate the development of new Forge Shop or Production equipment and facilities utilizing advanced technology to obtain maximum efficiency and competitiveness for Forged Products. + Monitor the redesign, improvement and rebuilding of Forge Shop machinery, furnaces, handling equipment and machine tools as necessary or desirable with regard for efficiency and quality. + Direct the design, drawing preparation, and field assembly of all hydraulic equipment for Forged Products designed special machinery and the redesign or overhaul of existing hydraulic equipment to improve and ensure continued proper operation of systems. + Plan, control and direct the activities in facilities engineering to ensure the proper functioning of the plant facilities and material handling equipment and maintain compliance with necessary local, state and federal codes and regulations. Provide necessary support to ensure continued compliance to ISO 9002/AS9100A Standards. + Provide for the analysis and elimination of safety hazards (and potential safety hazards) as relates to material handling, occupancy, environmental, electrical, or other, to insure a safe working environment for all Forged Products employees. Engineering practice or as noted by any concerned individual. + Provide for identification and investigation of problems in the plant concerning environmental matters by analysis of problem and providing necessary recommendation and/or corrective action as required by local, state and federal regulations. + Evaluate and direct the preparation of installation drawings for Forged Products built and purchased machinery considering and analyzing all conditions that may affect proper functions access and support to insure an efficient and workable installation. + Manage preparation of functional and safe designs for automated and manual material handling equipment to comply with code and good engineering practice. + Direct the activities in electrical engineering for electrical power distribution design to provide adequate and reliable power for operation of the facilities and to provide for needs and future goals. + Direct and manage electrical engineering for electrical control system designs for Forged Products built equipment and interfacing, modifying, and upgrading purchased or existing equipment to provide for safe and reliable operation consistent with Company requirements and all applicable codes. + Manage and coordinate the activities of mechanical, structural, electrical, and hydraulic design functions in development and installation of efficient, safe, and reliable equipment to conform to Company requirements. + Develop and maintain an effective organization through proper selection, staffing, training, development, appraisal, reward, and motivation of all employees.
