Director of Research

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Collect in-depth insights from global fundamental research team, potentially grow into PMLead local research efforts for onshore research projects.Develop and enhance in-house process to meet onshore regulatory requirement.Engage in team-based problem solving, information sharing, and research discussions.Be the ambassador of AB Equity research, meet with gatekeepers, institutional investors, and medias.Collaborate with production of marketing and client communication materials.Collaborate with Product Development, Sales team and other counterparties on new product design.Meet with research providers, data vendors, industry leaders, etc.Uphold AB’s fiduciary obligations, adhere to our Code of Conduct and uphold AB’s reputation as a representative with clients and in the broader industry.Promote an appropriate diversity and inclusion culture in the firm. Job Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

An MBA or comparable degree, and/or 8+ years of business experience in investment management.Preferably generalist research experience through equities research.Deep knowledge of the Chinese capital market and the competitive landscape of the FMC industry (knowledgeable on global capital markets would be a plus)Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently but also as a member of a team in a dynamic, informal and fast-changing environment.
