Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** This Director of Research Business Development is responsible for leading and coordinating business development opportunities for HCA Healthcare Research Institute, including both site-based clinical trials as well as records-based studies, including the business oversight and management of research study Leads. This position is also responsible for managing, communicating and negotiating business leads and strategic opportunities with Sponsor organizations and Corporate Stakeholders.? **Major Responsibilities:** · Leads business development strategy and supports pipeline opportunities and management · Reports out to executive-level stakeholders, internal and external to HCA Healthcare · Primary interface between SL Research Program Directors, Sponsors and Research institution · Leads assigned business development activities with industry partners · Primary driver for the completion of Research Study Leads including: o Working with Leadership Teams, SL Research Program Directors/Managers, Physician Leaders and other relevant team members to seek feedback on key assumptions and criteria o Initiation of Sponsor study budget preparation by Finance in collaboration with Legal o Manages project pipeline and provides analysis and oversight to support financial forecast o Manages strategic opportunities alongside Corporate Service Line(s) and · Builds, manages, and fosters relationships with identified strategic research partners · Creates and develops KPIs for Business Development Strategy · Exists as the key point of contact on assigned studies/programs for industry partners in regard to development of business opportunities prior to the transition to operational delivery team · Prepares Pharma/Biotech Industry information, trends, and analysis for Leadership team, Service Lines and Line of Business Leadership · Manages development of process improvements, working practice guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures as required and formalizes into working documents not limited to software and technology builds and maintenance · Works on new initiatives and special projects, as assigned **Education:** · Bachelor’s Degree required · Master’s Degree preferred **Experience:** · 5+ years of experience in clinical research and/or business development required · High level of comfort with systems reporting (Salesforce, etc.) · Communication skills, oral, written and presentation · Executive presence r "The great hospitals will always put the patient and the patient's family first, and the really great institutions will provide care with warmth, compassion, and dignity for the individual."- Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr. HCA Healthcare Co-Founder Become a manager with an organization that invests in your career while giving to the community.
