SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday

SALARY RANGE $90K-120K

Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County is a non-profit organization serving school age youth in over 25 locations. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. 

We are looking for a Resource Development Director to join our Senior Leadership Team and work with our Executive Director and Board to create and implement strategic plans for initiating and developing sustainable relationships with individuals, businesses, foundations, corporations, government funding agencies, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and local Native American tribes to obtain major gifts of financial support. 

Responsibilities Supports the Executive Director in positioning the Board and staff to identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts and grants from individuals, corporations, foundations, government agencies and others.Leads and supervises our Resource Development staff and department, including employees in the areas of marketing, grant writing, special events, tribal fundraising, donor data management, annual giving, local club events, donor prospecting, and donor relationships. Makes specific major gift asks for our organization, including major gift asks for our annual Gala. Identifies and cultivates planned giving prospects.Measures and communicates progress to plan. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field.A minimum five-year proven track record of success in the field of non-profit fundraising, including face-to-face, major gift asks.Advanced knowledge of fund-raising techniques and sources of fundraising for non-profit agencies. (special events, annual campaigns, grants, planned giving, capital projects) Demonstrated understanding of strategic mission objectives, policies, programs and non-profit procedures.Experience creating and implementing successful strategic plans for initiating and developing sustainable relationships with individuals, businesses, foundations, government funding agencies, etc., to obtain major gifts of financial support. Demonstrated organizational skills.Experience successfully leading and motivating a team, including identifying the best people for the job and managing their performance.Excellent interpersonal and internal/external customer service skills using diplomacy and tact.Excellent oral, written and technology skills including Windows, Internet, Microsoft Suite, Zoom, or other virtual platforms, and Google platform. Understanding of database applications.A Valid driver’s license with good driving record, consistent access to a vehicle with appropriate insuranceThe ability to earn and maintain mandatory CPR and First Aid certification.The ability to successfully pass a drug test and criminal background check.The ability to occasionally work a weekend shift to support specific fundraising events.
