Director of Revenue Cycle
Description We are in search of a Director of Revenue Cycle to join our team located in Spokane, Washington. The role is central to the management and oversight of enterprise-wide revenue cycle services, including scheduling, registration, and business operations. This is an IN-OFFICE position! Responsibilities: • Oversee the daily operations of revenue cycle services, ensuring systems are functional and recommending new processes to improve workflows. • Develop reports to analyze departmental effectiveness using industry benchmarks and monitor key performance indicators. • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes for timely and correct billing to patients and payers. • Monitor bad debt expense and the effectiveness of pre-collect and collection procedures. • Maintain the practice management system, ensuring the efficacy, internal control, and data accuracy. • Implement a quality assurance program for revenue cycle department functions, monitoring team performance, and making necessary changes to support accurate downstream billing processes. • Direct the selection, supervision, and evaluation of staff, resolving grievances and other personnel matters. • Establish and maintain departmental policies and procedures, ensuring they are being followed correctly. • Assist with the development of budgets and monitor department operations to achieve goals. • Maintain extensive knowledge of revenue cycle and regulatory requirements associated with governmental, managed care, and commercial payers to ensure compliance. • Develop and maintain internal controls to target revenue recovery throughout the organization by identifying charge capture, coding, and reimbursement problems, then recommending and implementing solutions. • Review, monitor, and recommend updates to the charge master fee schedule to maintain fees at levels that maximize reimbursement. Pay is DOE 88k-130k BENEFITS OFFERED: - Healthcare Benefits: Medical, Dental, or Vision Insurance? Yes- all 3 excellent plan avail 30 days after start date - Other Insurance: Life, AD& D, Disability? Yes- 50k for ee, cost is paid by company for AD& D and disability - Retirement Plan: What type – 401k / Yes- after 1 year 3% match - PTO: minimum # of days or hours offered - PTO for the 1st year accumulates at 0.0885/hr. worked. This is 184 for the max accrual annually. This is 4.6 weeks. There is also an extended illness bank (EIB) that accrues at 0.0154 and that annual max is 32 but caps at 480. Protected time accrues at 0.025/hr. worked. This needs to be used in conjunction with either PTO/EIB. We do not offer paid holidays, but since the employee accumulates at such a high rate, it is built into the PTO. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions is required. • Proven experience in Auditing is essential. • Proficiency in Billing Functions is necessary. • Demonstrable knowledge of Budget Processes is crucial. • Familiarity with HealthCare Revenue Cycle is required. • Understanding of Revenue Cycle Processes is necessary. • Experience in Insurance Authorization is crucial. • Proficiency in creating and managing Word Documents is required. • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is preferred. • Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and team management skills. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • High level of integrity and professionalism.
