The Role
As the Director of Sales, Commercial Vault Basics, you will lead a team of Account Partners responsible for selling Vault Basics solutions to Phase 2 and Phase 3 companies who are starting to make the transition from a clinical to commercial organization.  You will be part of a dynamic and growing team focused on driving industry-specific cloud-based software and data solutions into these emerging and transformational Life Sciences companies.  The Director of Sales is a critical position responsible for hiring, managing, and mentoring a team of Account Partners who call on hundreds of prospective Life Sciences companies across North America. Creativity, energy, and the ability to hire, manage, and support a diverse team are critical.What You’ll DoHire and manage a team of A-players to create and drive business into new accountsWork on a cross-functional team with Product, Services, and Strategy  to determine Commercial Vault Basics product roadmap, packaging/price, customer support model, deployment model, and selling motionMeet/exceed pipeline generation and new revenue targets set for the teamAccurate sales forecast and pipeline managementReview and approve pricing and proposalsProvide strategic guidance related to key opportunities and complete sales cyclesReview and approve expense reports and other administrative tasks associated with managing a teamBe a market owner and executive sponsor to strategic customers and stakeholders, including C-level executives – particularly the CEO, CMO, and CCO. Requirements3+ years experience selling enterprise software, professional and consulting services to the Life Sciences industry (biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device or diagnostic)2+ years of experience managing a teamUnderstanding of the Life Sciences industryUnderstanding of enterprise software sales cycles and associated strategies & tacticsBachelor’s degreeExcellent interpersonal, presentation, written & verbal communication skillsBe self-motivated, professional, confident, flexible, and results-drivenBe proactive and energetic approach, flexibleBe willing to travel as requiredNice to HaveA history of working with SMB or emerging biotechExperience working for a Life Sciences company or Consulting a Life Sciences companyStrong computer skills and experience with Gmail, Excel, PPT, CRM, Sigma or other reporting and analytics softwareEntrepreneurial mindset and experience.Familiarity with Veeva’s Commercial software and data products. Perks & BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and basic life insuranceFlexible PTO and company paid holidaysRetirement programs1% charitable giving programCompensationBase pay: $135,000 - $300,000The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location.
