Job Requirements

Hilton Arlington Rosslyn, a new build hotel in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington, VA. Featuring 331 rooms, a full-service restaurant, lobby bar, grab and go market, and 30,000 sq. ft. of event space. The property is scheduled to open Fall 2025.


The Director of Sales administers, directs, manages and controls the sales and marketing department to maximize sales revenue for the hotel.


Develop sales strategies for property, including targeted market segments, rate management, solicitation procedures and advertisingDevelop a realistic annual marketing plan, forecast with monthly reviews to update and modify as required by market conditionsEmphasize control procedures and yield management to assure a proper balance of rate availability to market demandEstablish and execute an effective outside sales programProduce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the hotel and the management companyDirect internal servicing of groupsAct in concert with hotel management team and property General ManagerTrain and manage all sales and marketing staff, holding them accountable to actionable resultsCooperate with other departments in the hotel, particularly Reservations and the Banqueting Department, to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programsWork in a cooperative and friendly manner with all fellow associatesWork with the Rosslyn Bid, Arlington Chamber, and similar organizations to solicit new businessPerform any reasonable request assigned or directed by General Manager or above property management team


Work Experience
College degree or relevant experienceStrong business communication and presentation skills, both verbal and writtenStrong negotiation skillsMinimum 5 years proven hotel director of sales experience, demonstrating proven creative thinking and result driven leadership skillsHigh work ethic and self-motivatedStrong computer skills in Microsoft SuiteSome travel may be required to industry conferences and eventsRegular attendance according to established guidelinesMay be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the propertyMust possess basic computational abilityFocus and maintain attention to detail, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptionsAbility to maintain excellent relationships with guests, staff, and always maintain staff and guest confidentialityDelphi, Meeting Broker, and Pep experience a plusHilton experience preferredArlington/ D.C. Market experience required
