About the Director ofSales Marketing role
The Director of Sales Marketing will ensure a successful opening of this 196 bedroom hotel and post opening lead the Sales and Marketing team in creating, defining, and implementing comprehensive strategies to attract guests, increase bookings, and enhance brand visibility. Duties and tasks will include:
Ensure that the hotel is set up for success by creating and executing a sound pre-opening commercial plan covering transient, leisure, group and event sales, marketing and public relations as well as online presence.In line with the hotel manning guides and timelines, recruit and train a sales and marketing team reflecting a structure which will set the hotel up for success post opening.Leading the sales team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, MICE, and leisure sales.Overseeing the development and launch of marketing campaigns and promotional activities to increase brand awareness.Forging strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and industry partners.Regularly reviewing and amending the hotel’s commercial strategy in line with current business trends to ensure budgets and/or financial forecasts are metManage the sales marketing budget in collaboration with the General Manager.Managing all aspects of the sales and marketing team including hiring, training, performance and building capabilities.About you
The successful candidate will have strong networking skills and have the ability to interact with key players in the local area, in addition to driving the Sales, Marketing and Events team to ensure commercial successes of the hotel. The ideal candidate will have previous hotel sales management experience and a proven track record in relationship building, as well as opening hotel experience.
