Director of Sales Pro Accounts (East)

Job Overview:

The Director of Sales, Pro Accounts manages and oversees the sales operations of the company. The main duties include designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with clients and collaborating with other departments to guide pricing, inventory, and operational support for customer success. This role oversees the performance of the team to ensure each is achieving sales quotas and assigned strategic account objectives. The role will place particular emphasis on developing and implementing processes and techniques to develop, coach, train, motivate and monitor individual team members, all oriented toward improved individual performance and retention of successful performers. The Director of Sales, Pro Accounts is also directly responsible for partnering with the operations team to grow and expand the customer base, managing sales plans, and profit margins. They will also be responsible for the effective execution of all company-developed programs, hire proficient applicants with the right competencies and experience, train and develop them in all required training programs, and establish the expectation of providing excellent customer service and a great place to work through personal examples and expectations.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the development and execution of marketing plans, pricing, and strategies tied to performance metrics. Implement all operational/marketing strategies to foster and maintain a positive, productive work environment. Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet performance objectives and customers’ expectations. Develop and implement long-term strategies to advance company objectives and drive growth. Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develop mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a period. Provide transparency and coaching to the team for company goals and objectives. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effective management of resources. Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Lead, build, and mentor a high performing team based on collaboration, innovation, and high performance. Foster a culture that exemplifies Leslie’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget. Facilitate communication and collaboration within the department and with other departments.

Qualifications:

5-7+ years of leadership experience, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry. Proven track record of driving business growth and operational excellence. 3+ years of sales leadership with a team of 5 or more direct reports. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the capability to drive organizational change and innovation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Customer Service, inside sales, outside sales, or sales operations experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license
