A Director of Sales oversees the hotel's sales and marketing strategies by recommending growth initiatives, tracking their progress, and ensuring the hotel maintains a competitive position within the local market.

What will I be doing?
As Director of Sales, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Management Team to meet business objectives and drive growth by expanding existing business through targeted promotional efforts and sales channels. You will be responsible for shaping and developing a high-performing sales team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
\n\nOverseeing the hotel’s sales plan, leading the team to ensure commercial performance aligns with business objectives, and focusing sales efforts across all market segments.\nManaging key accounts and market segments to contribute to the hotel’s top-line performance.\nWorking with the Senior Management Team to identify areas that require additional focus and support, driving key initiatives.\nLeading and developing the sales team through mentoring and by example, assisting in the hiring process, and guiding their success and growth.\nPreparing hotel contracts in line with current business conditions and pricing strategies.\nMonitoring offers and opportunities for repeat business from groups, conferences, and seminars in close collaboration with the Conference & Events team.\nDirecting and managing the forecasting process in partnership with the Revenue Department to ensure timely and accurate reporting. This includes overseeing reports such as the annual and monthly forecasts, Lead Management System, and booking reports.\nActively participating in the preparation of the annual Sales and Market Plan, quarterly updates, and complex hotel budgets. You will execute the strategies outlined, quickly adapting to changes in the market, economy, or competitive landscape. This includes organizing and attending group meetings as necessary.\nContributing to the development of company sales and marketing strategies by recommending, implementing, and monitoring local activities.\nOrganizing detailed information on the hotel’s products and services and ensuring it reaches potential and existing guests through appropriate sales channels.\nProducing accurate, timely reports that meet both hotel and management company needs.\nPreparing and presenting monthly updates on the proactive sales team's contributions, focus, and activities to hotel owners and senior management.\nCollaborating with other hotel departments, especially Reservations and Banqueting, to ensure an exceptional guest experience and comprehensive sales programs.\nParticipating in management meetings to support the development and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives.\nWhat are we looking for?
