Northrop Grumman (NG) is seeking a Director of Security to lead security operations for NG Mission Systems (NGMS) from our Linthicum, Maryland facility. This position will report directly to the NG Vice President and Chief Security Officer and will lead security operations across a large business sector in a highly dynamic, diverse, and geographically dispersed set of National Security efforts.
The NGMS Security Director, is a trusted member of the NG Enterprise Security Leadership Team and a member of the Security Council, supporting enterprise security initiatives across NG. Responsibilities include security and oversight for contracts and operations ranging from unclassified, proprietary, collateral, Special Access Programs (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs.
**Roles and Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and execute a security strategy aligned with Corporate Security and NGMS goals, performance metrics, and customer requirements
+ Utilize expertise in program security management, personnel security, physical security, and information assurance to ensure compliance with national security policy and contractual requirements
+ Build trusted partnerships with customers, government agencies, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver security excellence and cost-effectiveness
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as business management, legal, IT, cybersecurity, engineering, supply chain, HR, finance, and facilities to ensure security consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness
+ Oversee implementation of processes related to classified contract management, program security, insider threat, counterintelligence awareness, supply chain security, compliance with government standards, COMSEC, workplace violence prevention, security awareness, asset protection, access control, badge and identification, and ITAR and export related security measures
+ Engage with international entities to ensure security compliance
+ Oversee sector emergency and crisis management planning and execution with integrating role in corporate crisis management and business resilience planning and execution
+ Represent NG to Defense and IC senior security counterparts in multiple forums and security community associations and working groups
+ Oversee the investigation of security incidents and assist with coordination on disciplinary and legal matters
+ Experience in the planning, management and execution of complex budgets across diverse and geographically dispersed locations for security operations – to include planning budgets for complex mixtures of direct, indirect and overhead activities
+ Effective people skills and ability to develop and mentor high-performance teams
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of security related experience OR a Master’s degree with minimum of 10 years of security related experience is required
+ Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in leading and managing large teams supporting national industrial security programs supporting Federal, Defense, or IC collateral, SCI, and SAP acquisition programs
+ Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret level security clearance, to include SCI access and a recent Polygraph [adjudicated within the last 5 years], in order to be considered
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Demonstrated experience in multiple security roles including: Facility Security Officer, Contractor Program Security Officer, Information/Cyber Security, COMSEC, Physical Security, Personnel Security, and International Security
+ Proven ability and experience supporting US Government contracts
+ Experience and direct participation with Government/Industry Security Organizations (ISWG, NDIA, AIA, NCMS, etc. )
+ Demonstrated experience in making critical security program and management decisions for dynamic business units that support high-value contracts across a wide US Government customer spectrum (IC, Defense, Energy, and other Civilian Departments/Agencies)
**Salary Range:** $185,400 - $278,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
