Job Responsibilities: 

This position will be pivotal in supporting global sales, channel partners, and other key corporate stakeholders through the Lenovo Chief Security Office/Chief AI Office global advocacy program for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. The position will also develop, review, and maintain comprehensive security collateral and create tailored training and education programs to empower Lenovo EMEA teams to advocate Lenovo’s robust security posture with confidence. Acting as the lead security subject matter expert, this position will provide direct support to sales efforts, promoting Lenovo's security operations and offerings.

A critical component of the role is fostering trust by ensuring the advocacy team is aligned with broader security initiatives, including collaboration with external communications, government relations, and legal teams. The Director will play a key role in building trust internally and externally, ensuring that Lenovo’s security message is transparent, consistent, and reinforces confidence among stakeholders.

As an integral member of the security organization, the incumbent will also contribute to cross-functional security efforts, helping to drive the company’s vision, fulfill its mission, and serve as a trusted ambassador of Lenovo's security culture.


Essential functions and duties include:

Lead and manage the global security advocacy engagement process for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regionDrive Lenovo’s global security-first culture initiative through a comprehensive "measure, involve, engage" framework, focusing on risk-based and behavior-driven objectivesDesign and implement tailored security education and training programs for diverse audiences, including sales and non-sales employees, executives, and senior leadershipCollaborate with Lenovo's Communications and Marketing teams to create, review, and maintain high-quality security collateral for both internal and external use, ensuring alignment with Lenovo’s global security strategy and messaging


Job Requirements – Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies (KSAC’s):

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences across all organizational levelsProven ability to manage and swiftly adapt to complex and evolving requirements within Lenovo’s security enterprise landscapeCreative thinker with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, capable of driving innovative solutionsDemonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft SharePoint or similar platforms to develop, organize, and share information effectivelyOutstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a focus on clear stakeholder communication and engagementStrong aptitude for quickly establishing credibility and building trust with internal and external stakeholdersExpertise in navigating and influencing within highly-collaborative, complex, and matrixed organizational structuresAbility to assertively manage ambiguity while maintaining a tactful approach to decision-makingProven capability to handle a demanding workload in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

 

Job Requirements – Prior work experience

15+ years comprehensive experience in Product Security, Supply Chain Risk Management, Cybersecurity/Information Security, and/or Physical SecurityDemonstrable experience in various security domains including risk management, compliance, security strategy, security engineering, and/or operationsExtensive experience interacting with and successfully developing and managing relationships with internal and external customers (entry level to senior executives)Experience managing and navigating CRM tools (such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics) and sales enablement platforms (such as SAVO or Highspot)Experience as a national/federal government security executive/manager or security consulting with a large-size consulting firm/practice is a plus


 Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required. Strong preference for degrees in computer science, information technology, or cybersecurity disciplinesMaster’s Degree in technology or security-related discipline strongly preferred (MBA satisfactory if held in conjunction with other requirementsSecurity certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, OSCP) a plus


 Travel Requirements:

This role will require travel (at least 30%)
