Site Name: Japan - Tokyo - Akasaka Posted Date: Oct 7 2025 Job Purpose The role of the Director of Site Engagement & Study Start-Up in Japan is a senior leadership role within the Japan Clinical Operations & Platforms. This role provides leadership, oversight, development, direction of site engagement and study start-up for clinical study activities conducted in Japan to ensure execute strategic / innovative clinical trials. Key Responsibilities Foster and strengthen relationships with clinical trial sites to enhance GSK’s reputation as a "sponsor of choice" among top clinical trial sites in Japan. Develop and oversee strategies for all site-related activities during study start-up, including operational management, timely completion, and delivery of clinical studies across multiple therapeutic areas. Lead, drive, and execute key organizational strategies, process improvement initiatives, and transformation for innovative clinical trials. Proactively generate ideas and create an environment that fosters innovation, improving the performance and productivity of clinical trials. Serve as the primary point of contact for Site Engagement and Study Start-Up senior leaders within Global Clinical Operations. Collaborate directly with the Country Clinical Operations Head and the Japan Development Leadership Team to define priorities and set expectations for Site Engagement and Study Start-Up activities. As a senior leader, oversee and guide the Site Engagement and Study Start-Up team to establish innovative and efficient site partnerships. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management, evaluate capabilities and competencies, and coordinate the implementation of tailored personal development plans.
