Our actions are guided by the core tenets of DAPER culture, “The DAPER Way,” which are: Embrace Scholar Athleticism, Pursue and Revere Excellence, Lead with Courage, and Work Cohesively. **Position Summary** **:** The Stanford Softball program is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to serve as the **Director of Recruiting, Technology, and Equipment** . This position will play a pivotal role in supporting the coaching staff in on-field activities, managing recruiting operations, overseeing technological tools related to performance analysis, and coordinating equipment needs. The role also includes support for team events and special functions, working closely with the Director of Operations. **This is a fixed-term position** . **Key Responsibilities** **On-Field Support** + Assist coaching staff during practices and scrimmages by throwing batting practice and providing other on-field support as needed. **Recruiting** + Conduct comprehensive research on prospective student-athletes, including the evaluation of pre-junior year academic transcripts and national rankings. + Maintain and manage the recruiting database to ensure accuracy and accessibility of information. + Oversee the program's general recruiting email account; monitor and respond to inquiries. + Coordinate pre-junior year communication efforts with high school and club coaches. + Manage creation and distribution of recruiting materials, including: + Institutional information packets + Personalized communications (e.g., holiday cards, birthday cards) for recruits following NCAA contact guidelines (post-September 1 of junior year). + Lead off-campus recruiting logistics, including: + Developing and maintaining a master recruiting event schedule + Tracking event participants and compiling relevant data + Organizing daily schedules for staff attending recruiting events **Technology & Video Analysis** + Manage scouting film uploads and organization, including: + Game Drive footage + Opponent scouting footage (e.g., Hudl pitcher video) + Capture and tag video during games and practices for performance review and strategic planning. + Create highlight videos for internal review and external distribution. + Operate and maintain advanced softball performance tracking systems, including Rapsodo and Yakkertech. **Equipment Management** + Serve as the primary liaison to Stanford’s partners at Nike and Wilson/DeMarini regarding apparel, footwear, and sport-specific gear. + Oversee the ordering, inventory, and maintenance of all team equipment. + Ensure compliance with NCAA and institutional regulations regarding equipment distribution and awards by completing necessary documentation. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience or combination of education and relevant experience + Strong organizational and time management skills + Effective communicator with experience in managing databases and outreach communications + Technical proficiency in video editing and tagging platforms (Hudl, Rapsodo, Yakkertech) + Knowledge of NCAA and ACC recruiting rules and compliance + Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel for events and recruiting purposes **The expected pay range for this position is 75,000 to $90,000 per annum.** **Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position.
