The Director of Strategic Inclusion position exists to provide leadership and consultation to the strategic equity and inclusion program work directed by agency leaders across the enterprise. While equity change plans exist across larger state agencies, this position will primarily provide consultative support and advice to smaller agencies, boards, and commissions. This position will represent the Office of Inclusion to internal partners across the enterprise, including DEI leaders, agency leaders, MMB leadership, and the Governor's Office. This position will work with the Office of Inclusion to ensure alignment across all state agencies to identified long-range plan recommendations and to achieve the Office's strategic priorities. + Provide consultation to leaders of state agencies on implementation of enterprise-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic long-range priorities and policy. Liaise between the Office of Inclusion and leaders of smaller state agencies, boards, councils, and commissions to provide feedback on the implementation of One Minnesota long-range plan recommendations. + Support the development and implementation of small agency, board, and commission’s equity change plans and equity analyses of policies, programs, and practices. Provide strategic direction on sustainable, scalable, and achievable equity and inclusion priorities and goals. + Represent the Office of Inclusion across the State of Minnesota enterprise educating, advising, promoting, and advocating for inclusion and belonging principles. **Minimum Qualifications** + Five (5) years of professional level experience in leading and advancing diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism initiatives within organizations, which can include cultural knowledge from lived experience and/or education in understanding the experiences of marginalized people. Experience must include: Leadership: Demonstrated skills and experience to successfully lead and manage agencywide initiatives in the areas of equity, diversity, and inclusion; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate, and implement agency objectives; and proven ability to think strategically and creatively around Equity, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives. Program Management: Experience analyzing public policy and operational programs to identify institutional barriers. Experience designing, planning, and implementing organizational diversity and inclusion programs. Communications/Human Relations: Superior oral and written skills to successfully interact, engage, and cultivate strong relationships and establish effective partnerships with the MMB Commissioner, agency Senior Leadership Team, Human Resources staff, employees, managers, and supervisors; ability to influence leaders and decision makers; facilitation, presentation and communication skills to discuss technical topics to non-technical audiences such as agency managers; and understanding of relationships to drive effective collaboration with peers and stakeholders. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage several concurrent projects that might involve coordinating the work of multiple state agencies and Program and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Computer skills: Proficiency in the use of word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience supporting executive leadership. + Presentation and training experience + Planning and Project Management experience. + Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning skills to achieve optimal productivity and results. + Basic understanding of the state’s Human Resources system, laws, rules, collective bargaining agreements, and policies and practices to carry out the functions required and resources available. **Additional Requirements** Minnesota Management and Budget will conduct and a criminal background check prior to appointment.
